In The Black Studies Book, read "What Black Middle Class?" (p. 71) and "The Black Jeffersonians"(p. 77). In the book Black Smart, read "The Nigger Factory." (p. 125) Be able to expound on the following.

(1) Do the individuals and groups of individuals discussed in these essays demonstrate the six qualities of leadership that were discussed in the January class? If so, why? If not, why not?

(2) Do the individuals and groups of individuals discussed in these essays have a critical role to play in the elevation of the masses of Black People?

(3) Why do We hold such individuals in high esteem and what does that say about the near absence of leadership in Our community today?

(4) What is a nigger leader?

(5) Is it likely that Black leaders would agree that the United States is a "nigger factory"?

(6) In the essay entitled "Beyond OJ and Farrakhan," the following statement is made: "Even the Black individuals who sell out are apt to seek vengeance at any time." Whose point of view is that? What is the relevance of that statement?
