(1) "White" America. The History of "White"
America. What point is the instructor trying to make by saying
"white" America instead of simply America or the United
States of America?
(2) Do you know who white America's founding fathers are? Can
you name some of them?
(3) During what time period did white America's founding fathers
live?
(4) What were the primary concerns or priorities of white America's
founding fathers?
(5) How did white America's founding fathers go about making their
priorities the country's priorities?
The United States of America is dominated by three major European
strands; those of France, Germany and Great Britain/England. White
America's founding fathers, as early as the late 1600s, were concerned
about the rights of the common man, but not nearly as concerned
as the French masses. White America's founding fathers were also
concerned about being efficient and applying themselves diligently,
but unlike the seed of Germany's elite, they much preferred to
profit from the efficiency and diligence of others. And, white
America's founding fathers were concerned about making money,
as much money as possible! Incredibly, white America's founding
fathers were more concerned about this than any of the British
financiers from whom they took their cue. These three elements,
(1) a little bit of concern about the common person, (2) more
concern about efficiency and diligent application and (3) a whole
mountain of concern about making money; these three elements were
fortuitously blended into a hybrid economic-centric status quo.
The result: A business oriented political structure that catered
to relatively small numbers of "elite" individuals and
undermined a golden opportunity to establish a white power democracy
that would have benefitted the masses of its whites citizens.
White America's founding fathers were one rotten apple in what
could have been a relatively fine American barrel. But that rotten
apple spoiled America's barrel and ruined whatever chance the
United States had of achieving greatness. What the United States
became was a rich country, but the price its citizens and humanity
has paid, and continues to pay, is staggering.
